rowing at GDRA for junior high, high school & collegiate students is
an exciting time for beginners and experienced rowers alike.

Rookie Rowers

SCHOOL AGE
1.) BEGINNERS - High School Summer
Introduction to Rowing Opportunity: NEW CREW
June 16, 17, 18, 19, 23,24, 25, and 26
4-6pm $100
If introductory sessions are successfully completed, rowers may join in
to experienced high school rowing sessions upon completion.

2.)EXPERIENCED - High School Rowers Summer Rowing Opportunities:
Beginning June 17th - July 31st, Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-6pm
Sign ups required - all questions should be directed to rowerdoc@aol.com
3.) COACHING - Junior Crew may also help coach the junior high Rookie Rowers
program.
- Paid coaching position
- Head Coach: Dr. Todd Sobol

4.) PATHWAYS - Junior Crew may train under the auspices of the club's Pathways
to Excellence program, whereby they occasionally row without an
accompanying coaching launch. If fact, they may be rowing practice
WITH coaches, with other GDRA adult rowers, and/or with returning
collegiate rowers.
- Parental permission + a
coach's permission is necessary.
- This is for rowers who are extremely responsible and
dedicated to rowing faster
for summer competition.

COLLEGIATE AND OTHER ADULT
ROWERS
1.) Collegiate rowers
returning to Dayton for the summer are encouraged to row! The
Pathways to Excellence program is set up to combine rowers of all ages
who wish to compete during the summer. Collegiate rowers will
obtain adult membership at the reduced due for young members.
Practice times will be set up for the summer and will not have an
accompanying coaching launch, but will have experienced junior,
collegiate, and adult rowers who wish to practice hard for summer
competition regattas PRACTICING TOGETHER AGAINST AND WITH ONE ANOTHER.
