Our Boosters is comprised of all the parents of Greater Dayton Junior rowers, Greater Dayton Rowing alumni and community supporters. The parent volunteers support the junior program by providing travel logistics, meals and chaperoning at regattas, fund-raising and general promotion of Greater Dayton rowing. Without considerable support of parents, the Greater Dayton Junior rowing program would not be able to operate.

The Boosters organize a parent meeting prior to each season (winter, spring, summer and fall). The meeting provides information regarding junior training and regattas, and a forum for parents to learn about Booster volunteer opportunities. A wide variety of opportunities is available.

The Boosters is organized as a number of committees and a Board that provides oversight. Boosters are not currently represented on the GDRA Board, but are working towards representation on the board.

• Organizes special events that are a recruiting and recognition opportunity for our program. These events include school visits, Paddle in the Park, parades and our annual spring banquet.
